When it comes to engaging one of the best forms is to leave a comment on someone’s post.
There has been speculation on whether leaving just a few emojis or one word is “good enough”, but if you have been following for a while you know that I have always preached to leave at least a few words.
Taking that a step further when you are intentionally engaging with your target audience the quality of your comment should matter to you.
Your goal is to create a connection and build a social relationship with your target audience, so would a comment with just emojis or one that is filled with a little more value be more beneficial?
Let’s take valuable comments up one more notch and remember that users have the availability to pin comments.
What does that actually do?
Well if you are commenting on larger accounts that you take inspiration from or where your target audience hangs out, if you leave a comment that is filled with little nuggets of value in response to whatever the post was then the creator of the post may pin your comment to the top if they found it valuable.
Although it is a small percentage, this increases your exposure. If someone found your comment valuable enough to pin to the top of their list it will be seen first therefore bringing more eyes to you.
Make sense?! Cool, make sure to leave any questions you have below or send me a DM!
