How can I grow my following?

I’m going to tell you the truth friend…

There’s no one way to grow organically and boost your engagement. I’t not a one size fits all.

What I do know is that it’s not an overnight success… it’s a slow burn.

It’s going to take some work but here are some things to know about organically growing your following.

The number one thing is knowing your target audience!

You are going to need to know your target audience like the back of your hand. If you are unsure of who your target audience should be then think about the person you were before you decided to start your business.

What did you struggle with? What could you have used help with? What solved your problem?

Understanding who your target audience is where everything begins to fall into place including content creation.

Your content is not made for you. It should be made for your target audience. If you are unsure of what kind of content you need to be making, ask your audience!

Ask them questions using a solid CTA in your posts or even use the poll stickers in your stories to see what they want to learn from you. This is a great way to do market research.

Next you are going to want to build community with your following. Don’t ever underestimate the people who already follow you. They have been watching your journey and have become your support system.

Create a community by spending time intentionally engaging with your followers and leads.

When you are engaging outside of your home feed make sure to leave thoughtful and valuable comments on posts to increase your exposure and to build LKT.

The algorithm is not going to work in your favor unless you put in the engagement because what you put in is what you get out.

When you engage with other users it is triggering the algorithm to push your content to that user.

These are the strategies that are going to help you build your following organically.
